OUR DISTINCTION

  • We are a free public charter school for grades TK-6 with a capacity of 500 students; our language immersion program draws children who love to be challenged with a rigorous and exciting education curriculum with a local and global perspective.

  • French is the official language of 29 countries, second only to English in this category.  It is spoken on all five continents and ranked the sixth most widely spoken language.  There are currently over 220 million French speakers worldwide. www.diplomatie.gouv.fr

  • Families that value bilingual, biliterate, and multicultural skills will find this charter school to be a good fit.

  • We have an authentic community built around partnerships between parents, children, teachers, our school staff and our communities all around us.

  • We have a strong Parent Association Foundation: The SRFACS Foundation. Our Parent Association Foundation brings financial resources and stability through its fundraising efforts for the growing community while serving as the parent association of the school. The School Advisory Board (SAB) with members from the staff and the school community brings personal and professional skills to assure the smooth running of the school.

  • We are part of the Santa Rosa City School District, which offers its full support to the community overall and to our school.

  • We have the French Homologation (accreditation) for Cycle 1 et Cycle 2, which are “Petite Section/ TK“, “Grande Section/ Kindergarten", “CP/First Grade” and "CE1/Second Grade" and "CE2/Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grades", and we are working towards the additional recognition of out Sixth Grade by the French Ministry.

  • Each summer we host a full French immersion camp at the SRFACS campus, usually for 6 successive weeks in June-August.  NOTE:  the summer camp is run independently by EFBA (Education Francaise Bay Area); fees apply.
